David Guthrie has been entertaining people all his life. To put it simply, he thrives in the spotlight.

 

He started out performing impromptu living room break-dance routines for his parents, which then evolved to landing the lead roles in various high-school plays. Later on, he taught himself to play the guitar and upon graduating spent eight years fronting a Canadian rock band, The Hemingway Solution, performing at hundreds of concerts at various venues, festivals and radio stations across Canada and the US.

A now experienced actor/perfromer, David brings a diverse range of skills to his craft, bolstered by training at the Strasberg Institute and the esteemed Second City and UCB improv schools. He honed his craft on stage at the West End Studio Theatre in Oakville, portraying compelling characters such as Ludie in A Trip to Bountiful and Martin in Fool for Love. David also showcased his talent in the leading role of a TV pilot, Room&Bored, which he co-wrote and co-directed; the project was enthusiastically received when it premiered at the New York Television Festival.

He is currently studying in the advanced class at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio in LA.
